DELEGATE SAFETY

SAFETY AND SECURITY

We would like to reassure our delegates that your safety and the security of our events is always of the utmost importance to us. We want to ensure you have an enjoyable experience when you come to ACC Liverpool and that you remain safe from start to finish.

Safety and security measures at ACC Liverpool

To promote and encourage a safe and secure environment, we employ a range of event security measures, including:

  • Security staff: we have a team of highly trained and experienced security and stewarding staff who are dedicated to ensuring your safety. In addition, you may see police officers on-site during some events.
  • Bag searches: visitors to ACC Liverpool may have their bags searched. We therefore ask you to consider keeping bags and possessions to a minimum. As a general rule, we would recommend that you don’t bring anything larger than a laptop bag, or A4, if possible. Please note that large bags and suitcases will also be searched.
  • Detection dogs: detection dogs may be seen around the venue prior to and during events. As they are an additional measure to contribute to your safety, please do not disturb them while they are working.

In addition to the measures we put in place, we ask you to remain vigilant.  Please alert our team members if you notice anything you feel uncomfortable with. As always, your safety is paramount to us.

Ensuring event security

To ensure we can continue to prioritise event security, we constantly review and monitor our safety and security procedures across all of our venues – and some of this happens behind the scenes.

For example, we work closely with Merseyside Police, Counter Terrorism Security Advisors and our event organisers to ensure the appropriate security checks and requirements are in place.

We’re also proudly supporting Merseyside Police’s ‘Project Servator’. We’re working with Merseyside Police as they roll out operational deployments to combat a range of criminal activity, including terrorism. ‘Project Servator’ is a high visibility national counter terrorism policing tactic which relies on cooperation and vigilance from ourselves, other surrounding businesses and the general public to report suspicious behaviour.
