Community groups across the Liverpool City Region are being encouraged to apply for the latest round of funding from the ACC Liverpool Group Foundation, which has announced the opening of applications for its community grants programme.
With a total of £11,000 available in this round, the Foundation is offering grants of up to £1,000 to support grassroots projects that are making a difference in their local areas.
The scheme specifically welcomes applications from initiatives working with LGBTQ+ communities, minority and underrepresented groups, refugees and asylum seekers, music-based projects, and organisations tackling food poverty and the cost-of-living crisis.
Organisations based in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, and Wirral are eligible to apply, and the funding aims to support small-scale projects with meaningful community impact.
Last year, the ACC Liverpool Group Foundation supported a wide range of grassroots initiatives through its grant programme. Projects included warm spaces and free meals for families, community food cupboards, forest school sessions for adults with ADHD, music and dance opportunities for LGBTQ+ communities and women, support for refugee and migrant communities, and food bank provisions. The funding also helped deliver creative programmes for young people and neurodiverse adults, as well as practical support for organisations tackling food poverty and social isolation.
Kerry Villa, COO at the ACC Liverpool Group and Chair of the Foundation said: “We’re incredibly proud to support the inspiring work of grassroots organisations across the Liverpool City Region. These grants are about empowering communities — especially those facing real challenges — and giving them the tools to make lasting, positive change. We’re looking forward to seeing the creativity, compassion and impact that this next round of funding will help bring to life.”
Applications can be submitted online via The ACC Liverpool Group Foundation - CFM The deadline for applications is Wednesday 6th August.
All applications will be reviewed by the Community Foundation for Merseyside, with final decisions made by a panel of staff from ACC Liverpool Group. Successful applicants are expected to be notified within two weeks of the panel meeting, which is scheduled for mid-September.
