The ACC Liverpool Group operates the city's waterfront event campus – the interconnected M&S Bank Arena, ACC Liverpool and Exhibition Centre Liverpool - as well as ticketing agency Ticket Quarter and the Pullman Liverpool Hotel.  Playing a leading role in shining a spotlight on Liverpool, we have successfully staged a wide array of national and international events, from the Eurovision Song Contest 23, Comicon, world-class sporting events such as World Gymnastics and Netball World Cup, to international business events and conferences.

As part of our recently restructured management team, we are looking to recruit a Head of Health and Safety to help our fast paced business to continue our journey to drive forward the strong culture and delivery of health, safety, compliance, licensing and wellbeing strategies.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge/experience of Health and Safety management and whilst we are ideally seeking an events experienced candidate, we recognise that experience from other  people orientated or service related sectors will bring significant expertise to this role.

You must possess a NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, and ideally hold current Chartered/ Graduate membership of IOSH.  Essential to succeeding this in role is having a passion and desire to ensure that a positive H&S culture is at the heart of our organisation. We need a H&S lead who will continue the success we have achieved in safety management and who will understand the importance of safety across every facet of event delivery.

Success in this role includes: being able to influence individual and team behaviour and attitudes; supporting a range of teams in managing public, contractor and employee risks; maintaining and developing the health & safety management systems; identifying training needs, delivering in-house training and sourcing reputable H&S training providers.

In addition, having an authentic enthusiasm for working collegiately and collaboratively will be important and will enable you to influence and drive changes to operations, working practices and mind-set. We want to harness the agile and flexible culture changes we have introduced in the last 18 months and continue to integrate people welfare, wellbeing and personal safety into all we do and how we work. We want a like-minded H&S professional to complement our experienced and talented team.
