In ACC Liverpool’s first year we attracted 618,000 visitors to 269 events, generating an economic impact of £207m to the city region. Since then, we have attracted 5.7 million visitors to around 3,000 events and generated £1.2bn in economic benefit for the local economy.
The ACC Liverpool Group delivered £195m of economic benefit to Liverpool and the region in 2016. More than 600,000 visitors over 362 event days attended a mix of local, national and international conferences, public and trade exhibitions and arena events. Since opening in 2008, The ACC Liverpool Group has generated £1.2bn in economic benefit for the local economy.
In 2016 ACC Liverpool opened its adjoining hotel, Pullman Liverpool, the latest development following the opening of Exhibition Centre Liverpool in 2015. The venue welcomed back the Labour Party Conference for a second time. It utilised its entire campus for the first time – Echo Arena, BT Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre Liverpool – for the European Association for International Education. The following month it hosted the 47th Union World Conference on Lung Health for the first time. Future highlights include Phil Collins, Little Mix and John Bishop.
