The world’s leading spine experts gathered at ACC Liverpool for the UK’s first ever EUROSPINE annual congress.

We spoke to EUROSPINE’S Arno Amfort to find out how the event went.

Why did you come to ACC Liverpool?

For two reasons - the relevant committee of our organising society made the decision to come to ACC Liverpool and because of its excellent infrastructure.

What was the objective of the event?  
Annual conference of European spine experts.

Challenges

Did you face any challenges?

No, everything worked out well.

Production

Who carried out the production?

Production was provided in-house by the ACC Liverpool team and included exhibition rigging and AV for 26 stands, AV for plenary and break-out sessions and the installation of office equipment in registration areas. Other aspects of production came from Mondial Congress & Events.

The execution/ solution

What was the format of the event?

It was an international medical congress for spine professionals: the aims of EUROSPINE, the Spine Society of Europe, are to stimulate the exchange of knowledge and pioneering ideas in the field of research, prevention and treatment of spine diseases and related problems, and to co-ordinate efforts undertaken in European countries towards further development in this field.

Was an exhibition organised as part of the event?

Yes, 114 global exhibitors were installed across the arena and Hall 2 of the venue. 

Were there drinks receptions/ dinners?
Yes.

Would you return to ACC Liverpool/ do you have future plans to return?

We would highly recommend another congress or conference at ACC Liverpool.

What was the feedback from delegates?
We have only received truly positive feedback about this year’s congress in Liverpool.  The event was very successful and very satisfactory.
