Consider Yourself One of the Family

Consider Yourself Association Main

Read our latest blog by Kerrin Macphie who reveals the inspiration behind our new association campaign Consider Yourself.

We recently received feedback from two returning clients who commented that holding their event at ACC Liverpool is like coming home.  Never one to miss an opportunity, we put our heads together, used this as the basis of our next association campaign and Consider Yourself was born.

We are of course always delighted when a multi-year deal confirms and, reflecting on the associations who sign for many years into the future with us, led us to think about why that is and why people feel like one of the family when they come to our venue.

In fact Liverpool was named the UK’s friendliest city in a YouGov poll and we like to think this fantastic accolade is reflected among every one of our venue staff – you’re never far away from a friendly face.

This shouldn’t just be when hosting an event here though, surely keeping in touch is the easiest thing ever in between events; we permanently have our phones in hand, constantly check emails, Facebook and social media, the digital explosion means we are now busier than ever before. That’s why at the top of the list for our new association campaign is regular ‘keep in touch’ days before, during and after an event. It sounds simple but actually making the time to stay in touch can make all the difference to an event, it enhances relationships, generates creative ideas and is just a simple yet effective discipline to have.

There are other influencing factors when choosing a venue of course and, from our research, these continue to be access, price and location, not always in that order.  Meanwhile we continue to work hard to ensure we maintain our reputation for flexibility, reliability, competitive pricing and value for money. But there’s no denying the importance of that personal and friendly service. In fact, a client of mine was invited to my wedding.

So do consider yourself one of the family - make Liverpool the home of your association event, and, if it’s already your home, we will see you soon, I’ll put the kettle on.
