ACC Liverpool last night welcomed clients to its seventh annual London Showcase.
More than 100 guests attended the event, held at Ironmongers' Hall, to hear the latest about Liverpool and the venue.
Updates included the announcement of free Wi-Fi for delegates and visitors to ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena.
From January 2013, users will be able to access emails, the internet and use social media at the waterfront venue.
ACC Liverpool has invested in boosting access points throughout to allow more delegates to use Wi-Fi at the same time, free of charge, anywhere in the building.
Tom Lechthaler, head of event management at ACC Liverpool, said: "We have listened to our clients and responded with a transparent Wi-Fi offer as we continue to enhance the technology service for delegates.  This initial stage will make it even slicker and faster for visitors to access a range of services from their laptops or handheld devices free of charge.
"As well as free Wi-Fi, we will be offering clients upgraded packages that can be purchased depending on requirements.  For example we can offer a tailor-made Wi-Fi landing page, higher bandwidth, customisable web app and offer sponsored links so that clients can take advantage of advertising and sponsorship opportunities if they wish."

ABPCO chair Michael Foreman commented: "We are delighted that ACC Liverpool is the latest venue to announce free Wi-Fi for delegates.  ABPCO's Conference Cloud campaign has long championed venues to offer Wi-Fi to their visiting delegates at no charge to enhance the delegate experience. ACC Liverpool's announcement is warmly welcomed by ABPCO members and, I am sure, the wider meetings industry."
Free Wi-Fi is one element of ACC Liverpool's 'At Your Service' offer, a wide ranging menu of value added services that clients can choose from for their event, from floristry to furniture to technology and AV.
ACC Liverpool was joined at the London Showcase by destination partners Liverpool Convention Bureau, Liverpool Hoteliers Association, Virgin, Heathcotes and representatives from some of the city's venues for a night of networking.
Clients who attended included the Liberal Democrats, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the British Orthopaedic Association, who have all held events at ACC Liverpool.
Kerrin MacPhie, director of sales at ACC Liverpool, added: "This is the seventh consecutive year that we have brought Liverpool to London to showcase the city's exciting conference offer.  As we approach ACC Liverpool's fifth birthday in January, the event was an opportunity to reflect on the past five years while looking to the exciting developments planned for the near future, including the latest on our exhibition centre."
