An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor, (for clarity, internally this position will be known as Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance Business Partner), on a permanent full-time basis, reporting into the Head of Health, Safety, Risk, and Compliance.
The successful candidate will play a starring role in continually improving our health and safety management system, as well as helping us shape and deliver our quality management framework (QMF), working across our stunning waterfront events campus.
This role will enable us to safely deliver high quality events and services across our waterfront campus and beyond, therefore positive and energetic enthusiasm about health, safety, and quality management practices is essential, helping to inspire and guide our people to a safer tomorrow.
In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating both our Business Improvement Process and Master Audit Schedule, therefore must have experience of working either, in an integrated management system or working within ISO’s 9001, 14001, or 45001. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading our company-wide document control process, in line with our QMF and in association with our Head of Production and IT, ensuring accurate and controlled documents are stored on the intranet.
The successful candidate will partner with all our colleagues including line managers and heads of department in the provision of communicating, embedding and continually improving our health and safety management system. They will also take the lead on some more significant incident/ close call investigations and monitoring reports made via a cloud-based reporting tool.
This role is integral to embedding our safety culture and is a key player in our growing Health, Safety, Risk, and Compliance Department. They will help raise the profile of quality, health and safety management and work in partnership with all our colleagues and departments to help the business continually improve.
There is a hybrid working policy but will be required to be onsite when needed for operational purposes.
The successful candidate must have:
- Experience of working in Occupational Health and Safety and providing H&S advice and support to dynamic businesses
- A Level 3 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. NEBOSH National General Certificate/ IOSH Level 3 Certificate in OSH Principles and Practice etc.)
- Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH) and/or IIRSM (AIIRSM) with a good evidence log of CPD
- A Level 3 qualification in Internal Auditing/ Inspection or similar internal auditor certification for ISO9001 or ISO45001
- Experience of working in an organisation with an integrated management system/ 9001,14001,45001 accreditation/s
- Experience in using Microsoft365 including SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Passion for quality, health and safety management
Ideally the successful candidate would also:
- Have experience of assisting with the development of H&S policies and arrangements
- Have experience in corporate/ enterprise risk management
- Have worked in stadiums, arenas, attractions or hospitality in a safety/ operational management role
- Have experience of implementing data protection/ GDPR regulations
