Case study

The European Association for International Education

The European Association for International Education (EAIE) is the largest international higher education conference in Europe, bringing together professionals from more than 80 countries and hosting 5,200 delegates.

The five day event, which took place in September, provided a platform to address key issues in international higher education across the world such as the refugee crisis and Brexit.

We provided full production for the conference and had 39 technicians on site every day, plus three production managers to run the event.

Services included two plenary spaces and 18 breakouts rooms.  The plenary spaces made use of 12m x 4m super wide screens to display both PowerPoint and camera feeds.  We recorded all footage from the plenary sessions which was available post event.

We also delivered speaker preview and the use of embedded voting across the site as well as creating an internet zone consisting of iPads for delegates to use.

We provided rigging for 11 stands as part of the exhibition.

This was the first time that all three venues which make up ACC Liverpool’s campus – BT Convention Centre, Echo Arena and Exhibition Centre Liverpool – were used for a large scale conference.
