ACC Liverpool welcomed guests to its annual London Showcase at Simpson’s-in-the-Strand.
Around 80 guests in the association, corporate and exhibition sectors, along with agency representatives and entertainment promoters, attended an evening of networking in the historic venue.
Attendees watched a short video which featured highlights of the year including The Queen officially opening Exhibition Centre Liverpool and its adjoining hotel Pullman Liverpool. It also showcased 2016 events such as the International Festival for Business, the Labour Party conference, the European Association for International Education and Sir Rod Stewart.
ACC Liverpool was joined at the event, which was the venue’s eleventh Showcase, by 19 city partners including Liverpool Convention Bureau, Liverpool Football Club and Virgin Trains.
Guests attended from organisations including the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers and BBC Worldwide. Entertainment was provided by pianist Matea Maras.
Kerrin MacPhie, ACC Liverpool director of conference and exhibition sales, said: “Our Showcase provides an opportunity for us to highlight the latest developments and investments that have taken place across our venue, after all enhancements are undertaken with clients and delegates in mind.
“We were joined by our destination partners which enabled us to showcase the quality business tourism offer and support that clients can expect for their events in Liverpool.”
