ACC Liverpool Limited is an independent company with responsibility for managing the BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena on behalf of Liverpool City Council. Liverpool City Council is the sole shareholder in ACC Liverpool Ltd and the company has its own Board of Directors, populated by both Liverpool City Council representatives and independent non-executive directors. 

In 2009/10 ACC Liverpool’s turnover was £13.1 million. The senior management team is comprised of Chief Executive Bob Prattey, Director of Finance Gerald Andrews, Commercial Director Tim Banfield, Project Director Exhibition and Event Facilities Phil Pickett, Sales Director Kerrin MacPhie, Head of Events Tom Lechthaler, Head of Marketing Michelle Kemp and Director of Operations Kerry Quinn. David McDonnell, former Global Chief Executive at Grant Thornton International, was appointed as the new chair of Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool in March 2010.

ACC Liverpool has generated over £500 million in economic contribution to date, and has hosted events such as the MTV Europe Music Awards, BBC Sports Personality of the Year, the Liberal Democrat Spring Conference, Channel 4's flagship TV show Famous and Fearless plus many more.
